Welcome to SHH

This December 3rd, we have a unique opportunity to double the impact of your generosity through the GlobalGiving Matching Fund via our project page. As we approach GivingTuesday, I want to share how your support can allow us to drive meaningful impact from a subset of initiatives across our three main pillars in our mission.

We could use your support across our three Focus Pillars for 2025:

(1) Sustainable Healthcare Focus – our focus in 2025:
Deploying a pilot for our Digital Electronic Medical Record System allowing each child to have a digital record of their medical history (rare in Haiti today).Continue funding two nurses at the orphanage to manage and monitor the health of children and staff, including tracking medications.Available funds for healthcare emergencies, check-ups, specialist follow-ups, etc. We currently have a dozen children / young adults that require a specialist for follow-up appointments (cardiologist, dermatologist, dentist, etc.).

(2) Children & Young Adult Development – our focus in 2025:
Haitian young adults, even in successful orphanages are lacking the proper life skills and professional / career development needed to enter life in Haiti independently. Our team has identified challenges of children leaving the orphanage and moving on to university, trade school, or into the workforce under-equipped with the necessary skills to succeed. We are partnering with leaders in the development / adulthood transition space to help fill the gaps and provide the best possible future for our children. We will be bringing in partners to organize workshops, coaching, and therapy tailored to prepare young adults (juniors / seniors in high school) for the next stage of their lives. We are ensuring that the workshop participants take away tangible outcomes, such as: defining 2-3 realistic career options and how you would pursue them (academically, financially, personally), setting goals for how to achieve their future career, drafting a professional resume, demonstrating computer skills, preparing a readout presentation of their career plans for the class, etc.

(3) Saint Dominique / Foundation Montesinos Improvements – our focus in 2025:
Supplying additional funding for fruits, vegetables, milk, vitamins, etc. to help reduce the significant amount of malnutrition cases the children have been diagnosed with.

This December 3rd, we encourage you to make a donation to our project (Provide Healthcare & Education for Haiti’s Orphans) through the GlobalGiving platform, where every dollar you give will be matched by the GlobalGiving Match Fund (up to $1.8K per individual donor – meaning you and your significant other can both donate $1.8k each to get matched) All donations above $1.8k are greatly appreciated and still will come to us – just not matched. Together, we can multiply the impact of your generosity, ensuring these vital initiatives continue to thrive. Reach out to us if you have questions!

Why Your Support Matters: Your generosity directly supports children and young adults at the Saint Dominique orphanage, enabling them to receive the healthcare, education, and opportunities they need to thrive. With gratitude and blessings,
